Colorpuncture is a system of colored light
therapy largely based on the concepts of acupuncture. It was developed
by a naturopath and acupuncturist, Peter Mandel. Light and color
affect us very day. When the light and moisture are just right we
see a rainbow. These colors of the rainbow are present every day
and we walk around in them. Our eyes have been developed to see
these colors only when the moisture and light are just right. Without
this full spectrum of sunlight, our planet would be very different
.
You may have heard of the SAD disorder, which affects people who
do not get enough sun light, causing depression, sadness and disease.
How do we know we are out of balance? One may feel stuck in a past
experience or a present one, be unable to be kind to others, or
experience extreme mood swings. Maybe one will feel sad and have
no energy. Or one may not care about what happens to ourselves,
other people or the world. Colorpuncture will help promote balance
to strengthen our foundation. We can then more positively face whatever
comes.
Colorpuncture uses points from Chinese medicine,
as well as other points to transmit light through the meridians
or energy pathways of the body. Colorpuncture creates a balanced
flow of energy through the pathways to support good health. The
treatment will be with a light pen that uses different colors of
light that have been calibrated to emit different vibrations and
these vibrational patterns are used to balance and harmonize energy
flow. The experience is very gentle, non invasive and relaxing.
There are three basic levels of treatments in Colorpuncture they
are called a detoxification treatment, a hormonal treatment, and
a rejuvenation treatment. A colorpuncture practitioner, Cindy, will
determine which treatment is necessary by what symptoms a person
has and how that person feels emotionally. Constipation, for example
would be a toxic condition and may require a detoxification treatment.
A colorpuncture light pen emits a full spectrum
light which is a holistic tool and natural companion to light therapy.
Light of varying wave lengths reaches the eyes and skin receptors
on a cellular level. Based on which color you choose, one color
will move and stimulate like a red color. A blue color will calm
or rejuvenate a particular energy meridian (like clearing the highway
so we can get going).
